Meet Charlene
As a kid, Charlene Bayes dreamed of being a professional baseball player. For real! Although she was born in Grand Forks, ND, she grew up near the ocean in southern California where the LA Dodgers rule. No wonder A League of Their Own is one of her favorite movies. In high school, she was a successful student-athlete, who excelled in history, English and typing (she’s super fast) while also running track, playing varsity tennis, and killing it as shortstop and pitcher in softball.
Today, Charlene is happy to call Virginia home after raising her kids as a military family who moved around a lot — 18 homes in 10 years. She especially loves hopping in the car and discovering the quaint small towns in VA and West Virginia, as well as the rich history of iconic Washington DC.
A two-time breast cancer survivor, Charlene is a warrior who is energized by daily walks (10k steps minimum). As she walks, you can bet she’s listening to a Tom Ferry, Darren Hardy, or Sharon Srivatsaa podcast. She’s also an avid reader who loves Madonna, the Beach Boys, and Wolf Trap. Her guilty pleasure? Catching an episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

She’s committed to giving others that same sense of comfort and care. In fact, the golden rule —to treat others as you would like to be treated — is the credo she lives by. If she can do something for somebody, she will. A realtor for nearly 20 years, she considers it an honor to help others find a place to call home. Charlene says joining Speicher Group was a natural fit because they genuinely care about their agents and their clients. We may be biased, but the Dodgers really missed a golden opportunity. Their loss is most definitely our gain.

Kathleen is by far the best Realtor we have ever had! As a native of the area, she is very knowledgeable of the market and real estate laws. She accommodated her schedule to ours, responded to our questions within just a few minutes and ensured we had all the information we needed to help us make the best choice. She explained, in detail, each step of the home buying process; ensured we received the best negotiated deal; worked with the lender and title company to keep the process on time. Amie was fantastic to work with. She was incredibly responsive at all hours by text, phone, and email and was infinitely patient with our first-time home buyer anxiety. She was also extremely apologetic and helpful when we experienced a few post-closure hiccups that were missed in our home inspection, even offering to pay for some of the surprise expenses. We would 100% recommend Amie to anyone looking to buy!
I cannot recommend Kathleen enough. In this crazy market, she managed to help my husband and I get our dream home even though we were using VA financing. She is experienced and knowledgable about the home buying process. We were first-time home buyers, and Kathleen was extremely patient with all our questions. Her responsiveness is excellent. You will be in great hands with her!
OMG I'm not sure I have enough space to say how very helpful and professional Kathleen was in this extremely stressful process. We had a clock to find a place and in 5 days we found one after trying 4 times with a previous agent. I was so stressed and my first conversation with her lifted it all from my shoulders. The whole process went quite smoothly and was easier than I expected. To top it all she's pregnant and that did not stop her from working with us and driving all over to find what we needed.
