Mai Norman has been dreaming of houses since she was a kid. At school, she would often grab some loose-leaf paper and let her imagination run wild drawing floor plans with the most impeccable details — the entryway, the main level, the second floor. Her work was precise. She’s always been fascinated by design and to this day she loves being able to expertly identify the style of any home almost immediately.

Mai is a researcher at heart and her scientific curiosity led her to study biology at Bowie State and medical microbiology in grad school at Kingston University, near London. Now, as a realtor, those stellar research skills are her greatest competitive advantage. She relies on organic conversations, a sharp eye for detail, and a sprinkle of tech-savvy magic to do what she does best: deliver a top-notch, personalized real estate experience to every client.

She’s a Maryland girl to the core and, to her, happiness is being near any sandy beach with her daughter while eating some good food— steamed crabs, anyone?? She loves true crime podcasts, photography, and animals. Her family has two dogs and a bird (and for one summer, the class hedgehog). First concert? NKOTB. Best concert? Beyonce. But perhaps the most special was seeing the late Frankie Beverly in concert with her mom. Speaking of her mom, Mai says she’s her greatest inspiration. She taught her about tough love, and always following through doing what you say you will do. Integrity in all things. What a great lesson.

Mai worked successfully with other realtor groups but often felt like she was on her own. When she interviewed with the Speicher Group, she said it just felt…different. Better. Here, she found more support, greater resources, and a welcoming team. She’s still in the business of dreaming of houses only now she is focused on helping her clients make their dreams come true.
