Kathleen (Martin) McMahon has a superpower. No, she can’t fly or be in two places at one time. Her superpower is positivity and it’s become her “north star” at work and at home. When her son was in the NICU she became laser-focused on learning all she could from the nurses so that when he came home, she was ready. Her positive outlook got her through an incredibly stressful time and, she says, ultimately made her a better mom.
And speaking of having a positive outlook, she gives Peggy Lyn lots of credit there. When she was struggling professionally, Peggy Lyn got her into focusing on goals, journaling, and gratitude. At first she thought it sounded crazy but once she gave it a try, it was a game changer and was the fuel that accelerated her business to levels she never dreamed of.

She met her husband on Tinder, as she says, ’back in the day.’ And she’s a Jersey girl who dreamed of writing for a big time magazine in NYC. She came to Maryland for college (Salisbury University #GoGulls) and it was college classes like sociology, marketing, and gender studies that sparked a lifelong curiosity about people that carries into her work today. She loves being that first friend for her clients and doing all she can to help them feel at home in their new neighborhood. Come to think of it, maybe that’s another superpower.

Kathleen was absolutely fabulous to work with! As first-time home buyers, she made the process so easy for us. She was very transparent and responsive throughout the whole process. From the very beginning, she had our best interests in mind. Kathleen asked us a lot of questions upfront to gauge our wants and needs in order to create a thorough list of homes for us to see. She worked around our schedules and was able to meet with us at all different times throughout the week. She was very knowledgeable in assisting with the development of our offer; this, along with Kathleen's positive reputation as an agent, put us at a great advantage in comparison to other buyers who were putting in offers. During the process, she provided us with reputable contacts as needed, all who were equally responsive and helpful (inspection company, mortgage company). I cannot say enough about Kathleen. She was wonderful and really did everything within her power to make my first time home buying experience easy and pretty much stress-free. She listened to what I wanted and patiently helped me figure out where I wanted to live. When the first sale fell through, she had 3 new listings to me within minutes and scheduled viewings the next day. I even ended up purchasing one of those condos.
Kathleen was awesome! It was my first time buying a home and she was always available to answer questions and set up tours of potential homes. I would not have been able to do it without her. OMG I'm not sure I have enough space to say how very helpful and professional Kathleen was in this extremely stressful process. We had a clock to find a place and in 5 days we found one after trying 4 times with a previous agent. I was so stressed and my first conversation with her lifted it all from my shoulders. The whole process went quite smoothly and was easier than I expected. To top it all she's pregnant and that did not stop her from working with us and driving all over to find what we needed.
